Meet the Dentists at Essential Care Dental
Dr Nikhil Morriswala (Dentist)
Dr Nikhil had always enjoyed health sciences, which made his path to dentistry natural and easy. He very much enjoys the perfect mixture of sciences, hands on creation and art all rolled into one.
Dr Nikhil obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science (BDSc) from the University of Queensland in 2008. In order to provide his patients with the absolute best care possible, he continues to take professional development courses. Recently, he’s participated in classes relating to Invisalign, orthodontics, and endodontics.
As he puts it, his favourite part about working with patients to craft beautiful smiles is helping them to learn to love their new look and beam with confidence.
When he isn’t changing smiles in the practice, Dr Nikhil enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. The family likes playing soccer, squash and golf.
Dr Vivian Wei (Dentist)
“I’ve always had a desire to help others and have had an interest in science and art-related fields. Dentistry allows me to combine art and science to craft the perfect smile for my patients.”
Dr Vivian earned a Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Queensland in 2013. She also possesses a Master of Clinical Dentistry in Implantology. Dr Vivian is a member of the Australian Dental Association and is an Invisalign® Certified provider. She is passionate about delivering the best patient care, which motivates her to regularly attend continuing education courses both locally and internationally.
Experienced in all aspects of general dentistry, Dr Vivian has always emphasised quality dentistry delivered in a kind, unthreatening manner. “I have enjoyed treating people of all ages, striving to make each dental visit comfortable, positive and tailored to the needs of each patient.”
Dr Vivian is fluent in English and Mandarin, and she also understands Hokkien, which allows her to communicate freely and comfortably with patients from different backgrounds.
Dr William Pham (Dentist)
For Dr Will, his family inspired him to become a dentist. That’s because there are many dentists in his large extended family. They all have great enthusiasm and passion for dentistry. Dr Will loves that dentistry combines art and science and allows him to use his knowledge to assist patients.
In his role at the practice, Dr Will likes interacting with patients, young and old. It’s his desire to build a strong relationship with them over the years. He also enjoys being able to help them achieve their dental goals. Dr Will likes to help improve their dental health and general wellbeing. “It’s fulfilling to see patients having a wonderful experience at our practice and leave with a smile.”
Dr Will provides many dental services. These include orthodontics, teeth whitening and restorative dentistry. He also enjoys introducing young children to dentistry and building their trust and confidence for life.
In his spare time, Dr Will enjoys playing his favourite sports of tennis and golf. He and his partner Fiona like travelling. They enjoy seeing the world and experiencing different cultures and cuisines. He has two young dogs: Dobby, a Doberman, and Gus, a Groodle.
Dr Mingyang Lee (Dentist)
Dr Mingyang (Dr Ming) has wanted to be a dentist ever since a young age and loves all aspects of dentistry. He aims to provide comprehensive dental treatment and prevent problems before they occur for his patients. Dr Ming prides himself in his gently, relaxed manner so every appointment is as enjoyable as possible for his patients.
When not at the clinic, Dr Ming has a keen interest in volunteer dentistry and is always on the lookout for opportunities to give back to the community. He has spent time in Cambodia treating the underprivileged in both Phnom Penh and Sihanoukville.
Dr Ming obtained his Bachelor of Dental Science with Honours from the University of Queensland. He is registered with the Australian Dental Board and is a member of the Australian Dental Association. He frequently attends many educational courses to ensure that he is up to date with current clinical practices to ensure his patients are able to receive the best treatment possible. Dr Ming is also a member and the current President of The Cadmus Society study club.
Dr Mariluz Garcia (Dentist)
Dr Mariluz Garcia has been working in the dental field since she was 15 years old! From the first day, she loved the team environment, being hands-on and helping change people’s perception of dentistry to a positive one.
Dr Mariluz moved from Sydney to the sunny Gold Coast to complete her Bachelor of Oral Health in Dental Science and Graduate Diploma of Dentistry, and has lived in Queensland ever since.
Dr Garcia is particularly passionate about providing positive early dental experiences for kids and nervous patients. She also has a special interest in dentofacial aesthetics and is an AADFA certified provider for muscle relaxant injectables, as well as being a qualified Invisalign provider.
